Have you been hoping to improve your English speaking skills, but wondering how you can ever find time to work on them? This free five day speaking challenge can supercharge your progress.
It can also show you ways to practice your professional vocabulary in English, a few minutes at a time!
In the challenge, you can practice with other participants-- and keep practicing with them once the challenge is over.
You can practice the same techniques and skills with your own friends, or even by yourself. The important thing is that you keep looking for topics to talk about in English, and find at least a few minutes to practice every week.

The main challenge takes place from February 16-20, 2026.
(The first lesson will be available starting Thursday Feb. 12, even though the emails and group practice will start Monday Feb. 16. That will enable you to start early if you have a very full schedule from Feb. 16-20.)
You will practice the English vocabulary and speaking skills you need to contribute to group discussions and to participate at networking events. They'll help you push past the barriers that have held you back in the past.
Each day you'll get an email with a link to its video, talk, and/or practice exercises using English words and phrases, especially in professional settings. Then there is a short exercise and speaking assignment to help you actually practice and improve your English speaking skills.
Total lesson time should be forty minutes or less each day.
The TED talks for Monday and Thursday are about 15 minutes each. They're valuable English listening practice-- and they tell fascinating stories about leadership and effective communication. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do!
My videos are shorter (6-7.5 minutes) with explanations and examples of the English phrases you might need in networking conversations or meetings.
Here's the plan for each day:
Day 1: Watch this talk on the Power of Stories-- and Respond. Practice your listening and writing and/or speaking skills in English by responding to this TED talk.
Day 2: Questions in English including for Networking. Review and practice question formation and asking and answering questions during networking conversations.
Day 3: English Word and Syllable Stresses. Learn why word and syllable stresses matter in English and practice using them.
Day 4: Watch "Dare to Disagree" and use some of its vocabulary to talk about it in English. Practice listening and/or reading and review the words you might use.
Day 5: Review and Practice More Words for Agreeing and Disagreeing Politely and Professionally in English
Bonus:
Everyone who completes all 5 days is also eligible for a free call with me on how they can keep practicing, with some suggested materials that could help. For two weeks after the challenge, you also have the option to request a 2-3 lesson package of speaking practice lessons at half the usual price.
Sometimes a little boost is all it takes to start or keep you moving forward.
So take the challenge to improve your English speaking skills (and vocabulary) this month, and see how much progress you can make even when you have just a few minutes to spare each day.
