• general conversation practice

What the Audit Does

The Professional English Speaking Audit is a structured diagnostic test of the ways you use English at work. It identifies the specific patterns in your spoken English that have the greatest effect on how clearly and professionally your colleagues are likely to perceive your speaking skills in English-speaking workplaces.

It focuses on:

• pronunciation patterns in your discussions in English
• your choice of words and phrases to clearly communicate your thinking
• your ability to choose a culturally appropriate tone during disagreements, neither too direct or angry nor too vague.
• The overall professional impression you give in English

How the Professional English Speaking Audit Works

1. Pre-audit speaking sample
You record your (spoken) answers to several professional questions (including a couple that might also be relevant at a job interview) and read alouda few sentences that demonstrate your pronunciation of common English sounds. Then send me the recording to evaluate. This should only take 15-20 minutes to record, though you may need longer to think about your answers if you don't answer questions in English very often..

2. Audit session
We will discuss your communication in real work contexts on a 20 or30-minute Zoom call and review key patterns.

3. Targeted feedback
You will receive clear insight into:

• your strengths (what already supports your credibility)
• patterns affecting the impression you give
• highest-priority areas for improvement

I’ll suggest resources and practice exercises that could help you sound more professional in English. You can practice most of them on your own or with a partner. (You might be able to make faster progress with a few lessons, but those are completely optional-- not essential to get value from the audit.)
